Yes, I’ve been watching High Fidelity. Again.

Over the last couple of days, I’ve had a blast of popular-culture immersed films. Namely, Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith and the film High Fidelity. As such, I’ve been running on a popular culture overdrive. This is dangerous, but not always a bad thing.

Namely, I realised that barring some dialogue during flashback scenes, I can recite the vast majority of Reservoir Dogs off the top of my head. I’m sure I’ll find a use for this at some point. Although I imagine it can get weird trying to slip quotes and dialogue snippets into regular conversation…

Anyway, I’ve been inspired (that’s probably pushing it, if I’m honest), to do some of the High Fidelity lists. If you’re not familiar with the film, or the superior book by Nick Hornby, the plot revolves around the owners of a record shop, who talk about music near-continually. Within the book, ‘Top 5/Top 10’ lists are given from time to time, mentioning music, films, breakups, dream jobs etc etc. I thought I’d have a go…sort of.

…that’s a total lie. In actual fact, I make lists like that all the time. I’m just using this post as an excuse to put some of them on here. Sorry.

But here are some of them.

You can probably tell I didn’t really have much to talk about today, but I fancied making a post anyway- there’s no harm in it, is there? I suppose it makes up for the last couple of posts, which have been rather text-heavy…

What? You want something else? Pfffft…go on then.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’d like to start up an online shop- I’d certainly like to see whether you wonderful people would be interested in such an experience, and would like to hear from you in regards to it. Thank you!
