Review- Camera Obscura at Academy 2, Manchester, Wednesday 5th June

So after so much wishing/hoping/frantically watching listings, I was finally able to see the creators of one of my all-time favourite albums in a live environment. Having released their newest album, Desire Lines, earlier this week, Camera Obscura’s set was based around the new songs, which gel incredibly with their earlier work. Continue reading

It’s all getting exciting…

Before I start, please forgive the possible rambling nature of today’s post. In the last 5 days, I think I managed about 12 hours sleep, and I’ve been under a fair bit of stress. However, I don’t care- I’m now in a position that I can nearly call myself a semi-professional (ie unpaid and not called upon) writer.

Why I Love The Wedding Present.

Firstly, sorry for the lack of updates. Secondly, this wasn’t really the post I intended to write today. WrestleMania 29 Aftershow Thoughts

Sorry for the delay in writing this- I was hoping to have it done by Thursday, but as well as being in a jetlagged stupor (I’m still not 100% over), I’ve been thrust back into the deep end with rehearsals for plays/comedy shows- seriously, if you ever want me to contribute to a comedy show, DO NOT leave me sleep-deprived and filled with caffeine. It doesn’t end well- ‘existential Beanie Babies’ and Bolton-based astronauts who mispronounce NASA are not always good topics for improvisation. Continue reading

Ahhhh, writer’s block…

There is absolutely nothing worse than giving up while writing, mid-way through a sentence. Well, there is worse things, when you think about it- the mass genocides during World War II, the fact that William Regal has never held a major championship, when a pizza place puts slightly more pepper than you can tolerate (yeah, you asked for jalapenos, big man- now you’ve got to suffer them!)
